Have an emergency battery backup home system, or a battery paired with a solar or photovoltaic array? Join our Optimized Battery rewards program and earn $150 each year for every kilowatt (kW) of energy your battery provides.
How does the program work?
- A typical home battery backup system could earn $450 each year in rewards.
- We’ll never fully discharge your battery.
- During the highest usage months and hours, we’ll briefly use stored energy to offset your home’s usage from the electrical grid.
All energy adjustments happens automatically, so you won’t notice it! You’ll continue earning rewards, and your battery will recharge the same day.
If your battery provides 3 kW per year to offset usage during high usage periods:
3 kW x $150/kW = $450 annual rewards.

Seasonal Program Periods:
Summer
June 1–August 31
4–7 p.m.
Winter
January 1–February 28 (or 29)
6–9 a.m. and 6–8 p.m.
Seasonal program periods will exclude weekend and holidays. Earn a maximum $400 reward per season based on your battery’s kW energy offset.
