Receive $10 per unit recycled

We’re visiting cities in our service area to pick up small appliances to recycle. When we come to your neighborhood, you can receive a $10 rebate per unit for recycling working dehumidifiers or room A/Cs.

If you’re replacing an old dehumidifier or room A/C with a new unit, don’t miss savings up to $25 on new ENERGY STAR® certified models. Shop our online marketplace to save on new equipment. Rebates are also available for dehumidifiers purchased elsewhere, if you prefer to shop in-store.

You can leave your appliance at the curb or outside your door (preferred) or our crew can enter your home to pick up the unit. The appliance must be uninstalled before the crew arrives.

You must have an active electric account with PPL Electric Utilities at the address where you would like us to pick up the appliance. All appliances being recycled must be in working condition to align with our program goal of removing inefficient electric load from the grid.

How to participate

  1. We’ll let you know when we’re planning a route in your area.
  2. Pre-register to schedule your appliance pickup. You can choose which day you prefer or join the waitlist.
  3. We’ll pick up your appliance on the date you scheduled.
  4. You’ll receive a rebate check in the mail.

Instructions for the day of your appliance pickup

  • There must be a clear, safe path for removal of each unit.
  • Any air conditioners being picked up must be removed from the window prior to the crew’s arrival.
